Some people who purchase a program (me) like to know, to the greatest
degree feasible, what the best moves were in their tournament games.

I want to be entertained by the program I've selected.  Some belief,
however effectively substantiated, that I have a decent program helping
me discover the truth of some position, contributes to that sense of
being entertained.

As for Fritz 5 vs. Hiarcs 6, one reasonable question would be to
ascertain the relevance and verity of KK's statement:
Fritz 5 is stronger for the middlegame/analysis;
Hiarcs 6 is stronger for ....
