While an endorsement from Kasparov certainly isn't a kiss of death , it
is important to remember that a large number of IM's and GM's do use
Fritz 5 for analysis, and furthermore, an extremely large number of ICC
GMs and IMs are using it to thrash out new lines for their next "ECO "
opponent. However, because of his title and fame, Kasparov is the
example used to catch the chess playing publics eye.
Also, I didn't read anyone whining or crying about Mats post. In
fact, most of what I read thanked him for posting his findings, and
merely offered their results whether they concurred or not. I hope that
Mats doesn't think think that anyone was conveying any personal distrust
or dislike, and that he continues to post his findings.
