Mats--

Do you by any chance have the original German version of Fritz? I
understand that the English version was 5.01 and had several
improvements. Perhaps this is where the difference is? I have the
English version, and I, too, was surprised by the Fritz results at SSDF,
but since I do not have much time for manual play, and Fritz doesn't
have a public autoplayer capability, this is a subjective opinion based
on a few games I played after I got Fritz last September.
