  I find that the programs that were intednded for dos and just have an
optional windows launch icon are run better in dos.  But If the program
was intended for windows all along it runs *more* stable than those made
for dos.  The programs I have run in windows include virtual chess,
grandmaster chess, chessmaster 4000, fritz5, bookup and chessmentor.
They all run very stable on my machine.(P2 with win 95)
