You caught me. That's my website. As you can tell, there's nothing much to it
now. FYI, the Hawaii Chess Project is my own 1-man pet project. To increase
public awareness of chess as a fulfilling and fun activity, I thought it would
be a good idea to produce a set of 30-minute instructional chess programs for
cablecast on public access TV. So I took the required courses to allow me to
produce my own program.

I'm now Producer-certified and am going to use Lev Alburt's Comprehensive Chess
Course Vol 1 as my guide when I finally get around to writing a script. I
envision 10-12 30 minute programs to be shown in consecutive weeks during the
school year. With any luck, I'll be finished in time for the fall term. But
like I said, I'm a 1-man show and now I have Rebel to further distract me. Oh
well... I'll try my best.

The website that you found is meant to supplement the weekly TV programs with
more illustrative examples and online quizzes. I'd also like to include related
columns about how chess can be used as a teaching tool and how chess parallels
life and its accompanying challenges. My mission is to get as many schools and
kids involved in Hawaii. I've got a little experience with Frontpage when I was
webmaster for Hawaii Chess, but am trying to upgrade my skills to Dreamweaver 4
for this project.

A lot of work for one man to accomplish, eh?
