I didn't attend the first one in 1974, but I believe it was in Austria.  1977
was Toronto, Canada.  1980 was back to Europe.  1983 was in New York.  1986
was in Germany.  1989 was in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada).  1992 was back across
the ocean, as has been every event since.  Seems like someone forgot something
important after 1992.

Just look at the winboard engine list.  Plus we have the commercial engines
Wchess and Mchess to name two.  There are more than enough engines from North
America... If there was only one or two, things might be different.  But there
are many.
