21.b4 ({14:-0.47} 21. b4 Re7 22. h4 Rae8 23. Qxa6 f4 24. Ba7 Nd2 25. Rxe7 Nxf3+ 26. gxf3 Qxe7 27. Bd3 Ra8 28. Qb7 Qe8 $15) ({14:-0.11} 21. Bc1 Re7 22. Re2 Qf6 23. Qe1 Rae8 24. Be3 Bc5 25. Bxc5 Nxc5 26. Rxe7 Rxe7 27. Qb4 Qd6 28. Qd2 f4 $10) The scoring of 21.b4 seemed a little low considering how bad the move appears to be (to me, anyway), but then Christophe Theron made an interesting point in another post about reasons to keep the penalty for trapped pieces lower than their "objective" value. With that in mind, it appears Crafty understands the position quite well, and even has Black sacrificing a pawn to tie up both the queen and the dark square bishop while damaging White's kingside. Further, the 21.Bc1 variation is obviously much better than what happened to Fritz, although d5 is unavoidably weak, a problem stemming from the opening line rather than Bc1 itself.
