I think it must be out of date. I received a couple of messages about this
bookengine protocol on May 16th and May 17th 2001. They were directed to:
chess-engines@yahoogroups.com  I'm pretty sure that that *isn't* where you'd
send a message if you wanted to subscribe, but I'm not sure how you would
subscribe.
