Go up one level in this thread

it doesnt dominate the world championships.

it doesnt dominate the chess servers.

i can tell you this,, you can take tiger 14,, deep fritz,, or shredder 5,
throw in some badfast mhz, some crazy ram, and a passionate operator--and
you can win at any chess server against any top programs.

yes, and lots of losses, and mostly draws.

but i have noticed at the servers----no matter what company is behind a program,
no matter what operator---the program has losses against all other top programs.

dominates??? so what am i supposed to think about the ssdf and their testing.

it is just another list of information for me to read.
i am glad it is there. but i know in the years i have been keeping up with
comp-chess,,no one dominates the game severs.

do we say that stefan dominates the world championships. nope.

most were squeakers. but when someone squeaks so many times, it makes you think
he has something goin on thats right. and he does. but he does not dominate at
all.

too much talent to dominate this sport. in my time there has not been a
michael jordan of comp chess. no tiger woods at any chess servers i go to.

and dont tell me about some crazy cray with 1136 processors, or some ibm that
runs on 480 volts power supply, and all the operators are wearing ear muffs.

i am talking about workstations or pcs that we all use and the ssdf uses.
