I was unaware that any computer had received a FIDE rating.

He has achieved the required standards to become a GM, so your post is nothing
more than a straw man.  No computer+chess program has achieved the same thing.

You should also notice that there is a difference between saying that computers
have not been proven to be GM's and computers are not GM's.

Personally, I think they probably have GM strength (though GM's may catch on and
knock them back down).  But it has not been adequately proven yet.
