Stop this nonsense, no one here is a bigot that I know of...This Question has nothing to do with race, color, or creed....GM standards apply to everyone, GM Ashley was picked for these reasons. I. GM Ashley is an example of an average Grandmaster. II. GM Ashley is a Newer Grandmaster. III. GM Ashley has a rating below 2500 as many other Grandmasters do, not just the "old Grandmasters" IV. GM Ashley best Elo was just 2500. Making the point that this is all that is needed to be a Grandmaster in todays world, Not the lofty standards Bob and other are trying to say it take to be a Grandmaster.
