Actually the GUI might be doing something wrong here. The missing piece of
data that is always available on ICC is the opponent's rating. Without this,
it sets draw to 0. You can use the "rating" command to set both your estimated
rating and crafty's (depending on your hardware) and this will set the draw
score (contempt) to a reasonable value.
