If you were truly open minded you would respect other people's beliefs (I know you didn't claim to be open minded but I bet you think you are). Also it is impossible to honestly call religion "complete nonsense" because the truth is no one really knows. Calling it "a portion of nonsense", "somewhat nonsensical", etc. is reasonable but not "complete nonsense".
