If you read my first paragraph you'd see where my opinion lay.

However the fact remains that using the f word is not a common practice
among the people I know. It is neither popular nor do I know of any
female friend who uses the word. The word in itself is not so troublesome
as used the way John used it. Your use of it was IMO, in this case was not
required, and I myself find your use of it to be sexist.

I don't see how this single post was going to solve the problem for all those
that took issue with the original post of John's. Therefore regardless how Pink
you were to paint it, it wouldn't provide the answer.
