Of course not. If you've followed this forum for a while, you'll know that
people will sell their grandmothers to get a version with a few more ELO points.
Adding a few freeware engines just spices things up and provides a good
measurement for the value of your purchase. When 95% of the available engines
are seriously weakened then it's a different matter.

That's a good point. Why not let the WinBoard engines try their best?
