Hi,

Let's just wait and see...
In Dortmund 2000, Deep Junior showed that a computer program can stand against
competition from top humans using weaker hardware than that which Deep Fritz
will be running on in the match against Kramnik. I think that, on this hardware,
Deep Fritz will make a considerably stronger chess player than DJ was in that
tournament.
However, Kramnik will have much better possibilities of preparing himself than
the Dortmund participants had one year ago. I think these effects will
effectively cancel each other out, leading to Fritz performing somewhere around
Elo 2700 level, which won't be good enough to not lose the match, but I'd still
predict that those who say DF is going to be *crushed* by Kramnik will be proven
wrong.

Regards,
Janosch.
