Bruce: Yours is one of the most simple and effective explnations I have ever seen about DB superiority over micros. Once and again people forget the esential fact of the stratosferic hardware advantage of DB; once and again they forget that DB is not a program in a hardware, but it is mix of hardware and software you cannot dissamble. Besides, Hsu and his men were not interested to see if DB was in his software aspect was so good as Rebel or whatever; they were basically interested to see if DB was capable of a good perfomance such as he is, haardware included. I think this difference of purpose makes all the difference. fernando
