I don't see a major problem with posts in languages other than English provided that the Subject: line is always given in the same language as the content. That way i can tell which posts are in languages i can't read, and skip them without having to download them first. One minor problem would be with the pseudo-moderation we have here. If a post is made in a language none of the moderators can read, then it will be hard for them to tell if it has a problem with being off-topic, or abusive.
