As Dr. Robert Hyatt said severeal times, "Deeper Blue is hardware".
This means that its power comes from the those 32 + 480(chess chips) making it
faster (hence stronger) than anything ever made to play chess.
Maybe IBM gets tired of all that "Fritz propaganda" and decides to play against
Fritz. That would remove any doubts about Deeper Blue strenght.
