45. here kasparov plays g7 for last move.

comments: black played very aggresive early in game, advancing pawns. it
seemed black king was vunerable early in game. programs had kasparov and deep
blue evenly matched throughout the game. score stayed even up to about move 30.
tiger smelled something early on with its eval.
if kasporov opening and overall plan was to play as sound as possible and
advance the two pawns, then his plan worked. we all have seen these positions
numerous times. where the programs eval for advanced pawns is incorrect. where
the program does not "attack" the advanced pawns, until it is too late. look at
the other example, below, i know you know this one. this is the three (?) time
world champ , with stefan himself at the controls. shredder did not have a clue
until it was too late. and it was also the f and g pawns that killed deep blue
in game one. and there will be more comp games lost until the programs are made
to "attack" advancing pawns.

Shredder vs Deep Junior7
S5 lost to f and g pawns with two queens on the board in the world
championships. this is a mate in 10 position, even though shredder
has two queens.

game one deep blue vs kasporov. deep blue lost to kasporov
against kasparovs' f and g pawns.

after the above position deep blue blundered with 44. ...Rd1.
there was an immediate jump of 4 points with this move.
not sure if this was a move mistake, slip, not sure.
but with 44. ...g8 or 44. ...f5+ black is still 2.5 down
with a losing position. i played this out with tiger 14
and ended with this position. mate in 9 with the f and g pawns.

i hope i have not made any typos here. i hope this posts ok too.
i would like some input for my anaylsis of game two.
i intend to do all six games.
is there anything i can do to make this project better.
was the five minutes per move long enough with a 1500 mhz
to compare todays program? i can always do positional
analysis on individual moves with long time control later.
i wanted to see what todays eval would be with 5 minute
    time.
if anyone wants the complete analysis up to move 45.g7,
i will post it here. thanks

kburcham
