Bxh6+ Qxg7 3. f6 Qf8 4. f7+ Ne5 (Re5 5.Bxc6 Bxc6 6.Rxe5 dxe5 7.Qxe5+ Qg7 8.f8=Q#) 5. fxe8=Q Qxe8 and White is an exchange up, winning easily. So, if you want to win the exchange there is no transposition. (Please somebody check this, it is an analysis on the screen but I am pretty sure) Crafty seems to like winning two pawns instead, which in this case is not the best/easiest. IMHO. However, the decision ends up being "positional" For that reason, the test should be left out. I like the position though, a possible fix could be to modify it with a pawn in b6 rather than b7. As I am writing this, I test Gaviota with the pawn in b6 and found another possible cook line! (that allows transpositions between Rxe8 and f5) After Rxe8 and Bxe8 gives: 40994583 11: 308.2 +2.73 f4-f5 Qg6-g5 f5-f6 Qg5-e3 Kg1-g2 Nc6-e5 Bc3-d4 Qe3-g5 Bd4xe5 d6xe5 f6-f7 Be8xf7 Bd5xf7 Qg5-f5 with a piece up!! I like this even better!! Notice that this line is possible withe pawn in b7 or b6, it does not matter. Now I am convinced. This position should be left out, Rxe8 wins convincingly and it is a transposition of f5. Regards, Miguel >> time=60:01 cpu=99% mat=0 n=835372901 fh=22% nps=231k >> >> 16-> 28:46 3.64 1.
