Hi Mark, I'm sorry to see no replies to your request, because I also would like to obtain a set of endgame table-bases in a format I can read. It's all very well to have many megabytes of raw data, but much more useful when you know how it's organised. My reason for wanting this information is more mundane than yours, as I am developing a chess playing program which would doubtless benefit substantially from such table-bases. I could construct some of these table-bases from scratch, but this would take a lot of time and effort. The process of constructing such tables is quite tricky, as I can testify after having done this for a number of draughts (checkers) endgames with up to six men on the board. If you find out the structure of Crafty's table-bases please post it here or email me at REWaldteufel@compuserve.com. Good Luck Roberto
