Maybe Terra's install is very different from the others I have tried.
Generally, they start by assuming that I want to install on the C: drive. I
don't, it's the E: drive. When I pick the browse button, the program examines
the entire network of hundreds of computers, chewing up a good 30 seconds.
Then I finally drill down to the location I want and type in the exact path.
About that time, the install program says, "Choose another directory." Why?
Because it does not want me to install from the same directory as the blob of
stuff for the install application itself {which I will have inevitably put in
the directory I wanted to use in the first place}.
So, I go back to square 1, after copying all the goo to some temp directory
{which never cleans itself up afterwards} and arrive at this point again. About
1/2 of the amateur attempts at installation manage to hang themselves at this
point. Typically, the GUI will dissapear, though taskmanager shows it is still
running in the background [sometimes gobbling up most of my CPU].
This is the point where I remove the subdirectory and vow never to touch it
again as long as I live.
