Ok, I looked at the post again and now see your point:

  Case in point; I received Junk E-mail from the German programmer Ed
  Schroder today trying to get me to buy his crappy DOS Rebel 9 program.
  I think this proves the selfish and self centered nature of Schroder
and
  his departure as moderator a very good thing.

This is definitely a personal attack.  Sometimes there is a fine line
but this definitely steps over.
