I think it's quite fair, if you can convince the computer to use no 'anti-human' play. Otherwise it's absolutely silly. When I play an opponent who is weak positionally, I play positional chess; when I play a player weak in endings, I play for an ending. That's part of good strategy. Why on earth should I not be allowed to go after the computer's weaknesses (with anti-computer play)? Does it need *more* of an edge than I would give a human opponent?
