I started in the Israeli correspondence championship about ten yeas ago, and I think I might have come very near the top if I didn't stop after about ten moves. I was using much older computers (Novag Scorpio and Turbo King), and I wasn't necesarily choosing the computer moves, but with great computer aided analysis and experimenting, I looked for a great move. But at that time, I think that Israelis just sniffed at computers and would never consider using one. Turbo King was always very succesful against all earlier computers and programs, according to my testings at the time. In some ways, my two (above mentioned) were better than all the Mephisto's, which I think were the official champions before PC's took over. But now, perhaps I would NOT have a computer advantage. Uri, Are there any worthwhile prizes? I remember that there were NOT. (If there were, I would have carried on much longer, until I felt I was far behind....IF). S.Taylor
