I would say that you are a tad optimistic. These kinds of endgames need search
or a search analog, or explicit knowledge, EGTB. There are a few analogous
positions that are won for black. First two drawn:
[D]8/7p/3k2p1/8/3K4/7P/8/8 b - - 0 1
[D]8/7p/3k2p1/8/3K4/7P/8/8 w - - 0 1
and four won:
[D]8/6pp/3k4/8/3K4/7P/8/8 b - - 0 1
[D]8/7p/3k4/6p1/3K4/7P/8/8 b - - 0 1
[D]8/6p1/3k4/7p/3K4/7P/8/8 b - - 0 1
[D]8/6p1/3k3p/8/3K4/7P/8/8 w - - 0 1
This last position is interesting because the move 1... h4 leads to a draw due
to the fact that 2. Ke4 Ke6 3. Kf4 Kf6 4. Kg4 g5 is a stone draw. Highligting
the fact that the pawn formation h4/g5 is not winning automagically.
[D]8/6p1/k6p/8/K7/7P/8/8 b - - 0 1
This position is interesting if you only use 3 and 4 piece TBs. Does Yace have a
search depth limit, Dieter? Yace runs smack to ply 62 in this position. Because
the program have to be able to evaluate this kind of position accurately.
[D]8/8/k7/6p1/3K3p/7P/8/8 b - - 0 4 statically or
[D]8/8/k7/8/4K2p/6pP/8/8 w - - 0 6 this position.
