A SparcStation 5 will stack up pretty well at floating point compared to Intel processors... :) This is actually important to me because I play a lot of Quake, but it's a non-issue on a computer chess bulletin board. The reason Intel processors have such a hard time with floating point computation is because the FPU is a CISC stack-based deal. It's all but impossible to make it go faster than it does now... :( Cheers, Tom
