It was also claimed that shredder5 is 100 elo stronger than Fritz6a.
It is possible that a new program may be 100 elo stronger than the previous
version(it happened or almost happened with Fritz6a that was about 100 elo
better than Fritz5.32) but after knwing the history of shredder I tend not to
believe this claim about shredder.
