I am against, but willing to change my mind. 5-6 weeks ago I argued here on CCC against it in the (kind of) learning debate. The outcome (for me) more or less was, "in the name of innovation everything is allowed".... I am against because it hides the real playing strength of a chess program. But if people want it they can get it. Maybe a new poll for CCC? For me the open questions are: #1. Preparation on computer opponents allowed? #2. Detecting computer opponent allowed? #3.
