Yace(probably the best program for pawn endgames)
does not agree with you.

It needs 19 plies after trading rooks to see the disaster
and it needs only 16 plies from the root position to see the
disaster and change it's mind(I think that
evaluation of 3.00 pawns against itself is enough
to say that it avoided Rxb3 for the right reason)

yace was slowed down by a significant factor
in the first seconds so you can substract 25 seconds
from the time to see the correct time.

Yace used 64 mbytes hash tables on p800

(It happens to me often on the p800 when program
under chessbase interface are slowed down
only in the first seconds and
I suspect that it is a problem of windows2000.

It can happen also with Deep fritz when
I try to use 64 Mbytes hash tables)
