Since I was a customer who bought older ChessBase products such as Fritz6 and ChessBase 7 in the past, I therefore have the right to express my opinions about them. Besides, I hope to pass my word to ChessBase company soon, so that the ChessBase staff will provide a better and fair service to us. In addition, I bought ChessBase 8 last year. I was disappointed because ChessBase 8 crashed more often that ChessBase 7. Although ChessBase provided several patches for ChessBase 8, most of its bugs were still never fixed. After I sent several e-mail messages about my complaints to ChessBase, ChessBase never replied to me. The ChessBase staff treats me as an unimportant customer and it is not right. They should remember I paid a lot of money to ChessBase before and they should not eschew me. They should respect their customers like me and treat them as they are most important customers to them. The ChessBase should communicate openly with the customers and answers their complaints effectively. They have nothing to fear. Also, they should provide accurate and clear information about patches, because it is important to customers. I accept that in fact all software is never perfect. However, since some new ChessBase products has more bugs and problems than older ones, and what ChessBase tries to improve the new products is not enough. Therefore, I think ChessBase is not a good company nowadays. ChessBase needs to improve itself first before ChessBase can improve the products and services for customers. The famous saying: "Do not look at the beautiful jar of coffee, just look inside and check whether coffee is tasty." My point is that ChessBase GUI is very friendly and complicated, but more problems and bugs inside. Whereas Shredder 5 GUI is less friendly but it is stabler than ChessBase programs. I am less sure whether to buy any ChessBase products today. If ChessBase still continues to be that way, then it is their problem. <shrugging> Eran
