Are there any really simple positional testsuites? Most positional test suites I know of are "hard". They require advanced knowledge and great search depths. I would like to have a positional test suite where fundamental knowledge is tested. Where there is one "obvious" key move, that is found very quickly, if the program has the knowledge needed and the knowledge is calibrated correctly correctly. Such positions is often found in beginners strategy books. Some theme is explored, say knight outposts, and a position is shown where the "obvious" best move is one that leads to a strong knight outpost. Such a testsuite could be used to catch very basic miscalibration of evaluation knowledge. /David
