Christophe,

I hope I'm wrong.

Granted.

Likewise the arguments in favour of further integration wash over the
differences and assume they are all the same.

>All european countries are going to EVOLVE because of the european construction

The UK has not leveled out despite significant differences in unemployment from
one region to another - labor mobility is just none existant across Europe for
this to happen.

I hope you're right but when a downturn comes in a smaller country there will
not have the luxury of reducing interest rates. I predict that this will occur
in Ireland within five years - the result being long-term recession.

Indeed - of course the UK is a part of Europe and as such will shape its destiny
- lets hope that they do sort out the many problems.

Regards,

Steve
