The impression is that most of his rating points are accumulated in weaker tournaments compared to other top players. And when he does participate in strong tournaments the results are not impressive. Of course I could be badly mistaken. And contrary to your beliefs I doubt he'll feel an extra motivation. I suspect he'll prepare as seriously as he undoubtedly did for Corus. So the motivation is probably the same. Whether the results will be better depends on the first game(s). Regards, Mogens
