William, I do not understand how your post addresses the one to which it responds. Also, you might want to quote some of the prior message for clarity. The topic, I thought, was how to order (sort) moves for evaluation (knowing that the tree is traversed faster if you evaluate moves in order from best to worst). Your response seems to be about how (and how many times) moves are generated, not how they are sorted for evaluation. Also, I'm not sure I understand how captures, centrol control, and mobility came into the discussion.
