Hi Gian,

version 3.8.2 have time problems under WinBoard :-(
But I think also the newer Gromit versions are very strong.

Which persons know that?
Only beta testers have a chance to play with newer Gromit versions.
Gromit in newer versions are not Freeware.

Version 3.8.2 is under WinBoard playing with 2.375 ELO, AnMon is 75 ELO stronger
for an example.

Also other not free programs are very strong:
Arthur, Chess Wizard (top level niveau), Diep, Chess Guru, Zarkov and x other
programs. So Gromit is one of ...

For user which can download software is Crafty and Yace (I believe Yace with
longer time controls, for me better in endgame) maybe the new UCI SOS version by
Rudolf the strongest available programs.

Nimzo or Hiarcs are mybe 25-50 stronger as Yace with longer time controls, after
my impressions and ... Dieter is working :-)

But the others are also interesting.
Your program is in the newest version very strong, if I saw the results.
My compliment ... Belgish Engine Power ...

I must thinking on your first mail to me.
I added the information in my News Ticker (for 2 years) and you are very happy
about to many people with visit your webpage.

With other words ...
In 2 years or 1 year is also Sjeng playing on Amateur TOP 10 niveau?
But this is not very interesting, interesting are the different playing styles
from all this programs and I like that I can used all important WinBoard options
with Sjeng.

Best
Frank
