The people who run the SSDF list obviously do it because they enjoy doing it, or
they have some reason for doing it, and they're probably not going to all of the
sudden read your words and say, "Oh shit! This is the stupidest idea! What the
hell were we thinking!" They are obviously going to continue to do what they're
doing, and since it's not exactly as if it's really attacking anyone else, I
don't see why you have such a big problem with it. Either contribute something
to better their process or don't pay attention to it. If you think it's a crock,
then say that your opinion is that it's worthless, but don't say they shouldn't
do it, because contrary to the belief that your attitude gives off, there are
other opinions in this world that matter besides your own. Maybe their system
isn't perfect, but it's better than nothing, and I happen to see nothing wrong
with it.
