I think they are talking about micro computer programs. Who cares what Deep Blue is, right now it could not beat a fly. I wish that Deep Blue did not beat Kasparov, then maybe IBM would still be backing Deep Blue and it still would be playing games. As it stands now the deep blue project seems to dead and will be no help for the advancement of computer chess. What a waste.
