Uhh beat Rebel rather soundly?? That's quite faulty, the first game was drawn and the second game was a considerable struggle, far, far, far from beating rebel soundly. Indeed it is evidence that Rebel is GM strength as it is an extreme rarity and in fact i can't find a single game in years were Anand has anything less than a win against any opponent not rated at least 2560.
