Let me give you a short math lesson: 1.3M games? 3 times d3 was played. That is about once every 500K games, roughly? Do you *really* believe that Jeroen (or anyone) has walked through 500K games in preparing an opening book? That goes *far* beyond thinking stupid... It is an *impossible* task. You really don't grasp just how big a tree the opening position expands into by move 11? hint... compute 30^22, and tell me or anyone how Jeroen is going to wade thru that many positions and notice that "11. d5 is not in the book for white?" That is an *impossible* task. *totally impossible*. >[Event "Italy match"] >[Site "?"] >[Date "1990.??.??"] >[Round "9"] >[White "11.d5 Rebel10"] >[Black "Anand, V."] >[Result "0-1"] >[ECO "E12"] >[WhiteElo "2555"] >[BlackElo "2795"] >[Annotator "Administrator"] >[PlyCount "31"] >[EventDate "1990.??.??"] > >1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3.
