Hi guys, I was examining a position in Fritz and decided to also open Hiarcs6 to check on the analysis the Hiarcs Engine in Fritz had given. I discovered something I then checked in much more detail. Hiarcs6, at the same ply level (11), on analysis 3 lines, had a different next best move, and the 2nd choiice in FritzHiarcs was 3rd best in Hiarcs6. My main surprise was that Hiarcs 6 values were around 20 to 40 % higher than FritzHiarcs. Now I know Hiarcs6 gives a pawn a value of 125. Does FritzHiarcs give a pawn 100 value? Why would FritzHiarcs give different analysis to Hiarcs6? Could it be related to hash sizes? Which should I trust? Thanks guys, Tina Long (I also posted this message to RGCC)
