My list (ten best free Winboard engines): 1) Crafty , because it has so many options! 2) Yace, best bullet player 3) Comet, because I like the style and options 4) WildCat, plays very well against other engines 5) Pharaon (ZChess), good play 6) SOS, very strong too 7) Phalanx, although not using tablebases, it is a must-have; replace it for Nejmet if you want tablebase-support 8) AnMon, good blitzer 9) LarsenVB, because it is written in Visual Basic! 10) Delfi, because it is written in Delfi!
