Subject: Your opinion on "coaching" or weak levels

I am returning to chess after a long absence. Being able to hold my own against
an old computer means I only become brutalised by my computer nowadays which
calculates hundreds of thousands of nodes per second. It is hard to get over the
humiliation of playing a computer trying to deliberately play badly.
What is your opinion on the usefulness of coaching or weak levels on computer
programs? Are there any that are of particular use in your experience?
I would seek a reasonably natural game, just not playing very well. No 4-ply
horizon etc. I have to say the feature list of Fritz 6 looks good after reading
the manual I downloaded, however we all know that Fritz is more on the level of
the professional, so would it really be more suitable for retraining someone of
low level better than Chessmaster for example.
Thankyou...
