About 5 or 6 months ago I posted here on CCC that I thought those
settings seemed better on faster hardware for Rebel8. It could also just be the
style it plays that I prefer when perhaps there is no strength gain at all over
the default. I recall making the
point too that I could not use these settings when I owned a slower machine
(P-90). I mostly test endgame positions so it could be that a lower selectivity
setting is good for Rebel8 in endgames only.
