I have to agree with you. I'm taking a masters course and will have to write a
thesis starting in October 2002 on a topic yet unknown to me. If it was to be in
Computer Chess, with only 1 year to write it plus studying for all my other
modules I'm pretty sure I couldn't come up with anything to impress the readers
here. Keep things in context, many people here have Computer Chess as their
hobby as well as having a DEEP interest in it. Only someone ignorant would refer
to another person's work as junk. Theres nothing wrong with being objective and
perhaps suggesting ideas for improvment, but referring to someone's hard work as
"junk" or implying that someone hasn't worked very hard on it is simply not
acceptable. People have different levels of ability, even still I dont see what
is so wrong with his thesis...

If my topic is Mobile Telecommunications, do you think I could write something
to impress people that have studied this area indepth for many many years? I
don't think so, please be considerate when discussing someone elses hard work.

Regards

Anson
