fca, first I want to say that I want nothing more than for this thread to end a.s.a.p., so if you have anything as personal as this to say to me concerning this from now on please send it e-mail. It is up to Thorsten to post concerning this or not as he chooses, but for others please take it private. Now for what you have already posted: Thorsten has been given more than one opportunity to clarify what exactly he means by "the people getting very good results are closely connected to Chess Base." He has not clarified it and for all I know never intended to. As far as any possible inaccuacy due to translation, we are using English here (some better than others and I am not the best user of my own language at times either). Since we are using English then whatever the English says is what is read in this public forum. Therefore what is posted is what I must defend against, not what was possibly intended. For that matter, if Thorsten was inacurrate due to poor translation then let him say so and correct the inaccuacy. I would welcome this whole heartidly. Regardless of the reason, the statement is inacurate even if Thorsten did not say "all the people...", in this case 'all' would be redundant since he specifies which people he is talking about '...the people that get very good results with Fritz5.' In this case there is no possible exclusion for anyone that gets very good results with Fritz5, which is why I said that Thorstens statement IMPLIES all the people...that is eveyone...that gets very good results with Fritz5.
