Just by way of clarification, ActiveX refers to downloaded objects, which are provided by Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/com/tech/ActiveX.asp They are required by some websites in order to access certain features thereon. So it sounds like an ActiveX object is required to access the CM9000 website at ubisoft. [That would be a reasonable supposition, but I don't know what their requirements are.] If so, then they should have offered you the opportunity to download it. In that case there is usually a popup window asking whether you wish to download the ActiveX object (or "control"), with the option to respond Yes/No. If you respond No, then of course the website will not function correctly. There is a certain security risk with allowing ActiveX objects, which are stored on your computer (usually in the c:\windows\downloaded program files folder). That's up to you to decide. Do you trust them? If so then accept them. Otherwise you shouldn't... WP
