In CM9000, the EGDBs are handled the same way that opening books are handled, by the GUI. When a position reaches five pieces or less, if you have the appropriate files and the personality is allowed to use them, then a move will be made instantly. TheKing itself does NOT use the EGDBs, as has been posted before. jm
