Once again, the match between Chessmaster 9000 and US Champion GM Larry Christiansen will be taking place on ICC this weekend. Two games per day, with the games starting at 10am and 3pm Eastern time. The time control that was originally agreed upon was 30 moves in 60 minutes, but ICC does not support a moves/minutes time control. So, it is probably going to be changed to 2 minutes plus 120 seconds per move. Chessmaster will be using a P4-2.66, with all 5-piece endgame databases. It will use four different personalities for the match. The Chessmaster personality will be going last, and there will be three GM personalities that will be used for the other three games. Apart from changing the hash table size to 64MB, these personalities will be identical to the ones in CM9000. If you want to watch the match, just "follow CM9000". There will be live commentary by GM Joel Benjamin, current Women's US Champion WIM Jennifer Shahade, IM Josh Waitzkin (Sunday only), and possibly GM Maurice Ashley as well (his participation is not yet confirmed). GM Yasser Seirawan will provide full post-game analysis of all four games at some point after the match is completed. He is currently in a tournament right now, so it might be several days to a few weeks before this is accomplished. We hope to see you all there! jm
